Message from Chairman

Alonzo Harrison

Greetings, my fellow Democrats.  Our nation is facing many challenges.  We must resolve to heal the wounds inflicted by  a rancorous, divisive and dangerous political arena.  America is great!

We believe that cooperation is better than conflict, unity is better than division, empowerment is better than resentment, and bridges are better than walls.  It’s a simple but powerful idea:  We are stronger together! God bless you and your families, God Bless McCormick County and God bless America.

What Is a Democrat?

We are the party that fights for equal rights, for justice reform, and environmental protection.”

We fight to protect programs to help the poor, women, children, and the elderly,”

We believe in science.”

We understand that we need universal health care, reduction in prescription drug costs, access to mental health treatment, and that women have reproductive rights.”

We support our veterans and believe that we should have a strong military to keep us safe and defeat terrorism, but we also believe that war should be the last option.”

Change and reform begins from the bottom and moves toward the top.”

The political revolution has always been about turning out voters who do not normally vote and folding as many people as we can into the political process.”

We” are the “Party of and for the People!”
